About Your Girl in Iceland

I am a writer and artist living in Iceland who writes under the pen name Your Girl in Iceland.

I publish two newsletters:

  • My So-Called Icelandic Life contains personal dispatches from Iceland and links to articles, art, cultural oddities, and other things (Icelandic and non-Icelandic) that I consider worth sharing.  This comes out once or twice a month.
  • Lestrarhestur (Icelandic for "reading horse") is bursting at the seams with reading recommendations--a hodgepodge of fascinating articles, short stories, and books that kept me rapt. This comes out once a month.

Read good stuff and liberate an artist at the same time

This is not a public newsletter, so only those invited can access the content. Subscriptions are free for everyone who followed me over from social media. I hope these newsletters allow us to keep the conversations going in the comments.

You reach me directly by replying to the newsletter dispatched to your inbox, or you can email me at your-girl-in-iceland@proton.me to chat. Eventually, I will introduce a tiered access system, and paid subscribers will get some tangible perks while helping me pay off my student loans.

Fresh content, delivered

Stay up to date with new content sent straight to your inbox. I don't believe in spamming people, so you don't have to worry about this newsletter overwhelming your inbox.

Meet some funny and interesting nerds.
